Obituary

Clarence Cal Olmstead passed away on January 9 2006 at his residence. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at the South Forty Club House at 10:30 Thursday morning January 12 2006. Cal was born August 22 1908. He was a native of Danbury Connecticut. Cal loved tennis hiking skiing and boating. He served in the U.S.M.C. and was in the South Pacific. He was a Master Mason and a Shriner. He was active in the Coast Guard Auxillary where he was a commander and enjoyed the ocean. Survivors include his loving wife Edrie who loved him dearly for 72 years son Daniel and wife Christine grandsons Joshua and Mathew Olmstead two sister Julie Schnider of Danbury CT. and Jane Bjelka of Newfield CT and friend Kaye Butler.
