Clara Joyce Cropper, 86 of Deland Florida passed away November 1, 2013 with her loving family by her side.

A memorial service in her honor will be held at 2:00 PM, November 24, 2013 at the Trinity United Methodist Church at 306 West Wisconsin Ave, Deland FL, 32734. Family will receive guest following the memorial service.

Joy was born in Martin, Kentucky to the late James P Francis and Mary Everage on May 31, 1927. Joy loved and had a passion for music, sewing, gardening and crafts. Joy was a retired school teacher from the Florida school system. She graduated college from the University of Kentucky. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, as well as the garden club, women's club, and AAUW.

Surviving her in death is her loving husband, Charles Cropper of Deland; a son, James Cropper of Atlanta, GA.; a daughter, Mary Cropper Sellers of Jacksonville, FL; and three grandchildren, Catherine Cropper, Cole Cropper of Atlanta, and Christy Sellers of Jacksonville.

Joy's family and friends will greatly miss Joy and her generous, loving spirit, but rejoice that she is out of any earthly suffering and in her heavenly home.
