A mass of Christian burial for Claire Marie Nelson Wagner 89 who passed away Friday April 16 2010 at her home on Crescent Ridge in Daytona Beach will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday April 20 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 201 University Blvd Daytona Beach with Fr. Phillip J. Egitto pastor officiating. Interment will be private at Daytona Memorial Park. Casket bears will be Dr. Matthew J. Hill D.C. Jason B. Wagner Dr. John L. Wagner DC Joshua Wagner Claire Wagner Graham and Linda D. Wagner. Friends may call from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Monday April 19 2010 at the Baggett and Summers Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Homes. Mrs. Wagner was born in Cambridge Massachusetts and moved here with her family Katherine and Frank Nelson who owned the Laverne Hotel on Bay Street in Daytona. She married her husband Burrell Wagner in August 1945 in Childress TX. She attended St. Paul's School and Mainland High School (1937) both in Daytona and Graduated from Stetson University in Deland FL She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes and past President of the Women's Club she was a Eucharistic Minister to the sick a member of the Junior Service League a sustainer member of the Palmetto Club where she enjoyed playing Bridge. She served on the board at Father Lopez High School and she was past President of the Hibiscus Garden Club. Her husband 2 sisters and a son Martin F. Wagner preceded her in death. Survivors include her two daughters; SuzAnne (Thomas) W. Hill of Prot Orange and Katherine Wagner Orlando FL a son Dr. Joseph B. (Carolina) Wagner DC Wilbur-by-Sea a brother Judge James T. Nelson Daytona Beach a sister SuzAnne E. Hull Ormond Beach 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
