Christopher P. Carrigan, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021. He was 65.  Chris was born May 20th, 1955 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, the youngest son of Charles and Lauretta (Graves) Carrigan.

Essentially a Daytona native since the age of 3, Chris worked in maintenance for 35+ years. Specifically in nursing homes where he dedicated his time to helping the elderly and even those affected by hurricanes. He is best known for his expertise in HVAC and taught adult night classes for FTI Palm Coast. His hobbies included going to the beach, fishing, loving on his pets, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. During his life, he spent time traveling, camping, and the occasional motorcycle ride. His greatest joy was his retirement home on the fishing canal where he planned to spend time with his children, teaching his grandchildren about fishing and taking boat rides.

He is survived by his wife Shannon (married 14 years), daughter Melissa, son Paul, step-daughter Meghan, and grandchildren Jabari and Christopher Paul Carrigan III; siblings, Jim Carrigan (Rabun Gap, GA), Patrice Wind (Marietta, GA), and Mary Longoria (Pottsboro, TX).

Chris was preceded in death by his mother Laurette Carrigan and his father Charles Carrigan.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday March 14th, 2021, at The Estate on the Halifax, 5123 S Ridgewood Ave, Port Orange, Florida 32127.  In lieu of flowers, Chris asked that donations be made to the Halifax Humane Society, Flagler Humane Society, or the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind (St. Augustine) where his son attended and grandson will be attending.
