Christine D. Murphy 81 of Daytona Beach passed away peacefully at home on Friday March 29 2013. Funeral services for Christine will be held at 1:00 P.M on Friday April 5 2013 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. The family will receive guests for a viewing prior from 12:00 P.M until 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery. Christine was born on February 6 1932 in Syracuse New York to the late Margaret Sposato and Dominic Misita. She and her late husband Guy moved to Florida in 1967 from Massachusetts. Christine worked as an administrative assistant for Halifax Hospital. She was past National President M.O.C.A 1992-1993 and Grand of Florida State President 1982-1983. She enjoyed Bingo pulling the "One Armed Bandits" being active in the Military Order of the Cooties Auxiliary as well as the VFW and spending time with her dog Sammie. Christine is survived by her daughter Margie (Stanley) Shaddix; grandchildren Mandy (Ed) Burfield Dr. Melissa Shaddix; great grandchild Caroline Burfield; nephew Louie (Katie) Misita; nieces Debby Misita Therese (Mark)Truelove Mary Misita Jennifer True and Sarah (Richard) Snodgrass. She also leaves behind many extended family members and loving friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Guy W. Murphy; parents Margaret & Dominic Misita; brothers Sam Misita Louie Misita and sister Jo-Anne True. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
