Christine M. Knight, was born November 10, 1920, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late John and Cora (James) Warren. She attended DC public schools.

Christine was employed by the United States Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and printing, as a Supervisor, for over 35 years prior to retiring in 1976.  She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Washington, DC for over 60 years. In 1952 she married Edward Knight, who proceeded her in death.  Upon retiring her and Edward enjoyed traveling, music, and serving in their church. Christine moved to Palm Coast, Florida in October 2011 after a brief illness. Prior to moving to Palm Coast she resided in Kensington, Maryland for 35 years.

Christine departed this life on Friday, January 1st, 2021 at the age of 100.  She was preceded in death by her parents John and Cora (James) Warren; her daughter, Mary L. Reeves, grandchildren; Keith P. Starks, and Vernzella Y. Starks; brothers, John Allen, Eugene, Raymond, Curtis, Percy and Robert Smith; sisters, Etheline Fowler, Pauline ­­­­­­Carter, Edith McCree, and Arthea Smith.

Christine leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter, Deloris F. Starks, Palm Coast, son Patrick Knight, West Virginia, sister Gloria Cosgrove, Vista, California, grandson, Anthony Starks, Atlantic City, NJ and granddaughter, Sharon R. Williams, Seabrook, Maryland; 4 great-grandchildren, 15 nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 12:15 pm, Thursday, January 21st at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32214.  The Reverend Edwin Coffie will preside.  Interment will follow the service.  Arrangements are under the direction and care of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW, Palm Coast, Florida 32137 (386) 449-1100.
