Cheryl Elaine Stinson, aged 63, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in Daytona Beach, Florida surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Monday, June 19, 1961, in Gainesville, Florida to William Nolan Tomlinson (deceased) and Carolyn Faye (Maiden name, Proctor) Tomlinson. Cheryl was a huge and passionate supporter of NASCAR. She lived and breathed for it. She was also a fan of the University of Florida Gators football team and cherished the excitement of the game.
Cheryl graduated from Eastside High School in 1978. She then dedicated many years to her career as a Medical Assembler at Command Medical Products before retiring. Her work was marked by diligence and a commitment to excellence that was recognized by her colleagues and the community.
She is survived by her loving family: Mother, Carolyn Faye Tomlinson; Sons, Steven Matney Stinson and Jeffery William Stinson; Sisters, Regina Renee Davis and Julie Marie Carner; and granddaughter Skylar Marie Stinson. Cheryl is also survived by her partner and best friend, Dan Barden. For 7 years, they built a life filled with love and care together. Each day they shared their happiness and love with each other.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her beloved Husband, Jerry Stinson, who passed away ten years earlier.
A Celebration of Life Service will honor Cheryl's memory at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Crossroads Baptist Church, located at 1851 South Clyde Morris Boulevard, Daytona Beach, Florida 32119. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cheryl's GoFundMe Account to honor her memory and support causes dear to her.
Cheryl's warmth, enthusiasm, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family, friends, and the many lives she touched.
