Cheryl "Che"
Elizabeth Crisp
November 11, 1953 – March 16, 2020
Cheryl "Che" Elizabeth Crisp (sometimes affectionately referred to as Shot-zie), 66, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 16, 2020 at AdventHealth Palm Coast. Cheryl battled injuries and illness for much of her life until ultimately her heart simply gave out. She was born November 11, 1953 to George W Crisp and Isabelle H Crisp Maver. Her mother fondly recalls insisting her father stop the car on the way to New Rochelle Hospital to get her a hot cup of coffee. Cheryl attended Mamaroneck High School and worked with her father at his company, Harbor Tire in Mamaroneck. Eventually the business was sold and George moved to Georgia. In 1994 Cheryl relocated to Palm Coast to get away from the harsh New York winters and be closer to her Mom. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Bunnell where she loved to sing in the choir and often soloed and performed duets. Music was her life-long passion. She played organ and piano and sang in several bands over the years beginning at the Canada Lounge in Mamaroneck, NY almost 50 years ago. Cheryl had a playful sense of humor. One Thanksgiving she showed her nephews how to make mashed potato eyes with green pea eyeballs. She still has a photo commemorating the event hanging on her wall. She loved RVing and buzzing around Palm Coast in her bright orange Jeep. She will be greatly missed by her many friends. She was devastated by her father's passing nearly 8 years ago to the day of her own passing. She was also predeceased by her stepfather, Robert Maver and her stepsister Leann Maver. She leaves behind her mother, Isabelle, sisters, Gigi Crisp and Jennifer Annanie, stepsisters Beth and Missy Maver, stepbrother Michael Maver, nephews Chris, Andrew and Nick Annanie, grandniece Alexis Annanie and her beloved canine children, Jackson, Mitzie and Buddy. Arrangements are under the care of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. Condolences and memories are welcome to be shared at here on our online guestbook.
