Charlotte Leggio age 97 of Deland went to her heavenly rewards on Wednesday October 5 2011. A mausoleum memorial service in her honor will be held Monday October 24th 11:00 AM at Deland Memorial Gardens. Charlotte was born in Manhattan New York to Peter Sr. and Pauline Castaldo. She traveled in many circles and to various places to discover all this country has to offer. Her early years were spent in Stanten Island NY but also spent some time in Connecticut before coming to Deland. She dedicated her talents as a salesperson in high fashion that enjoyed sewing reading and socializing. She was a proud member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Her beloved husband James Leggio her parents 2 brothers: Louis and Peter Castaldo and 2 sisters Evelyn Sherwood and Loretta Burr preceded her in death and she leaves behind a sister Helen Broderick and many loving extended family and friends.
