Charles F. Zeiger, 98, of Deltona passed away on May 2, 2025. He was born on April 7, 1927 in LaSalle, New York to August and Mary Adeline Zeiger.

After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II. He proudly served from 1946 - 1949. He would later begin working for New York Telephone Company, now Verizon, which would take him to several countries around the world implementing new telecommunication systems. He enjoyed traveling, and would take trips with his beloved wife of 66 years, Marion. Charlie will be remembered as "a very interesting man," who was kind and generous to everyone around him.

Charlie is survived by his nieces, Earlynn Gunter and Janet Thompson; his nephews Fred (Rachel) McCurdy, Wayne A Thompson, Calvin Thompson; his great nieces, M. Kiley Hamilton, Charlotte G. Jordan, Stephanie Thompson, and Vanessa Thompson; great nephews, Matthew Smith and Michael Smith; and his nephew-in-law, Brian Smith.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marion Zeiger; his parents, August and Mary Adeline Zeiger; his sister, Thelma Palmer; his siblings-in-law, Arthur and Idella Thompson; and his niece, Donna Smith.

Charlie's family would like to extend special appreciation and thank you to Jessica and Sue for their care and love for Charlie for many years.

A memorial service will take place on May 22, 2025 from 4-8 pm at Lohman Funeral Home in Deltona.
