Charles Robert Yokubonus, 88 of Daytona Beach, passed away on November 15, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, Nov. 20 in the Lohman Funeral Home Daytona Chapel. The family will receive guests for a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery.

Charles was born on May 7, 1924 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Charles and Stella Yokubonus. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Europe during World War II. Charles was a resident of Daytona Beach since 1958 and local business owner of Charles Yokubonus and Son Inc. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He spent many days on the water with his oldest son Chuck. His gardening efforts were well known among his family and many friends. Charles is also known for his speaking leadership and support of Alcoholics Anonymous where for many years he gave generously of his time and energy.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years Susan Yokubonus; Evelyn Morrow the mother of his children of Chattanooga TN; sons Chuck (Peggy) Yokubonus Ormond Beach Dan Yokubonus of Grant Michigan daughters Charlene (Dan) Lamons of Chattanooga Diane (Greg) Hageman and Cindy(the late David) Findley Ormond Beach. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Charles is preceded in death by two brothers Tony and John three sisters Ella Ann Sophie and his infant daughter Carol Ann.
