Charles (Chick) William Lowry

Chick Lowry, age 83, passed away peacefully at home in Ormond Beach, FL, on September 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 14, 1941, in Hogansville, GA, to the late J.W. and Beatrice Lowry. Chick lived a long and eventful life.

After graduating from the University of Georgia with a BBA Degree, he continued to be an avid Georgia Bulldog and was always looking forward to that next football game. He loved participating in sports, playing high school football, winning second place in the state track meet, playing college tennis, being an active member of the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association for many years, skillfully conquering slalom water skiing courses, Harley riding, and golfing.

Chick lived a vibrant life in retirement. After Living in Roswell, GA., for 40 years, he sold his business and retired in Ormond Beach in 2005 because of his love for the beach where they had vacationed for many years. He developed a passion for gardening and landscaping spending most of his time in his yard and on the golf courses

Chick is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gee Lowry; his son, Chad Lowry; grandsons, Lucas Lowry and Noah Lowry, both of Tampa, FL; sisters-in-law, Linda Fleming of Roswell, GA, and Allene Lowry of Chattanooga, TN; nephews, Bobby Lowry of Chattanooga, TN, John Lowry of Collinsville, IL, and Cery Fanning, Jr. of Newnan, GA; and nieces, Chelsea Fleming and Christy Fannin, both of Roswell, GA.

A Memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, October 12th, 2025, at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 W Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL. 32174, 386-673-1100, with a Reception immediately following.
