Memorial services for Charles E. "Chuck" Valek 63 of Daytona Beach Shores who passed away on June 09 2007 will be held at 4 pm on Thursday June 14 2007 at the Port Orange Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes. Chuck was born on September 17 1943 to the late Steve and Elisabeth Valek in Kittanning Pennsylvania. He received his Masters from Loyola College in Baltimore MD and worked as a guidance counselor until retiring from Severn River Junior High School in Anne Arundel County MD. A practical jokester Chuck enjoyed fishing gardening playing cards and tennis. He also had a love for traveling and walking the beach. Of all the things in life he enjoyed his greatest passion was for his family who will miss his smile and sense of humor. Chuck leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 41 years Phyllis; daughter Theresa (Craig) Williams; son Chris (Jennifer) Valek and brother Stephen "Ben" Valek. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in honor of Chuck to: American Heart Association or to your favorite charity.
