Charles E. Turner, Jr.
August 10, 1931 ~ April 27, 2023

Charles E. Turner Jr., 91, of Port Orange, Florida, died April 27, 2023. A native of Portsmouth, Virginia, Charles was the son of the late Esther Mae Christopher and Charles Edward Turner Sr. and the brother of the late Charlotte Mae Turner. Charles began his career with Seaboard Air Line Railroad and retired as an assistant to the Vice President of the Mechanical Rail Transport Group at CSX Transportation. He was a proud member of First Baptist Church Daytona Beach and was very involved with his extended family and activities there. He was also an avid dancer and member of a local dance group. Charles never met a stranger and was always a very kind and loving person.

Charles will be lovingly remembered by his wife Geraldine; daughters, Susan Turner (Sean Reilly), Diana Jackson; son, Chris Turner; grandchildren, Kristy, Allison, Ray (Brandy), and Dylan (Andrea); step-daughter Beth Griffin; step-sons Eric Sousa, Stephen Sousa; step-daughter Mary Woods; step-grandchildren Shaune, Jordan, Ryleigh, Rebecca, Mathew, Marsha, David and Elizabeth; six great-grandchildren and ten step-great-grandchildren as well as many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, May 23rd at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, 10 First Baptist Parkway in Daytona Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Daytona Beach or Joslin Diabetes Center.
