Charles Clay Shrout 84 of Ormond Beach passed away on May 21 2006. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 25 2006 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Lohman Ormond Funeral Home 733 West Granada Blvd. in Ormond Beach. Charles was born in Carlile Kentucky on May 29 1921. A Florida resident since 1961 he moved to this area in 2000. Charles was a World War II combat soldier and a retired Property Insurance Claim Manager. He enjoyed golfing traveling politics reading and religion. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ormond Beach. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Gerri three sons Charles Thomas of Jacksonville David Milton of Jacksonville Beach Steven Watkins of Marblefalls Texas and his step-daughter Hunter Britton of Summerfield FL. Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Inurnment will follow in Arlington National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
