Charles Isenberg Shalett of Ormond Beach died at the age of 89 on Saturday July 16, 2016. Born in New York City he moved to the area in the 1970's . Charlie founded Shalett & Shalett an accounting firm in Deltona. Recognized as an astute business advisor he helped to develop several mobile home parks and a building supply business in Volusia County. He was a long serving board member of Congregation B'Nai Torah and served as a Commander of the Jewish War Veterans of Daytona Beach and Palm Coast. Charlie spent many years enjoying boating, touring the country in his motor home and traveling around the world with his wife Caryl. They were married for 68 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Michael and his wife Karen, his daughter Marcye Hampton and her husband George, and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 20th at 7pm at Congregation B'Nai Torah, 403 N Nova Road, Ormond Beach.
