Obituary

A Memorial Service for Charles H. Post 77 of Daytona Beach Shores who died Saturday May 21 2005 at Halifax Medical Center will be 10 am Saturday June 18 at Westminster By The Sea Church 3221 S. Peninsula Dr. Daytona Beach Shores. Charles Post was born June 8 1927 in Northumberland PA and moved to this area in 1989. He was an elder of the Presbyterian Church USA and a member of Westminster By The Sea Presbyterian Church. Charles Post graduated from Bucknell University Lewisburg PA and obtained his master?s degree in social work at the University of Pittsburgh Pittsburgh PA. He retired from the Department of Health & Human Services as the Southeast regional director of child support in 1988. He was a 32nd degree mason. He served in the Army circulation manager for the Stars & Stripes newspaper in Europe. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at Bucknell. He was a life master bridge player and belonged to the Metropolitan Bridge Club and the Tomoka Bridge Club. Charles Post had a life-long passion for music. His most favorite past time was playing the piano. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Doris Post and his brother Sterling T. Post II. Survivors include two sons Daniel Post West Palm Beach and Sterling T. spouse Martha Post III Atlanta GA; daughter Cynthia spouse Earnest Kepler West Palm Beach; four grandchildren Eric Kepler Ryan Post Meredith Kepler and Amelia Kepler.
