A Memorial Mass for Charles P. O'Malley Jr. 79 of Ormond Beach FL who passed away Saturday October 6 2007 at Coquina Center Ormond Beach will be held Wednesday October 10 2007 at St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church in Ormond Beach at 10:00 AM with Rev. James Queen as Celebrant. He is survived by his wife Mary Eileen 2 sons Patrick B. (Robin) O'Malley Ormond Beach Mark S. (Renee') O'Malley Ormond Beach one daughter Mary Lyn of Ormond Beach three grandchildren Jennifer Patrick and Kyle one sister Anne Marie O'Malley Syracuse NY. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy O'Malley of Syracuse who passed away one week ago. He was predeceased by his parents. Charles was born January 1 1928 in Susquehanna PA. Graduated from St. Anthony's High Syracuse NY where he excelled in baseball and football. He graduated from RPI in Troy NY in 1951. He married Mary Eileen Allen in 1952. He worked for General Electric for 38 years in both Syracuse and Florida retiring in 1990. He greatly enjoyed family friends Gator football Cleveland Browns Atlanta Braves and NASCAR. His interests included playing tennis his long involvement with the Daytona Beach Little League Babe Ruth League and The Ormond Beach Youth Baseball and Softball Association. He loved his grandchildren. He never missed a soccer baseball basketball or a football game. He was a wonderful grandfather and will greatly missed.
