Charles L. Bleakley III 67 passed away at his home in Port Orange March 5 2012. A funeral service will be held at 8:30am Friday March 9 2012 at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange.
An eternal optimist Charles "Bub" Bleakley was a master craftsman and professional technician. He was born to Marion and Charles Jr. in Tarrytown New York. Bud was a loving husband father grandfather brother and uncle. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. Bub was a positive force and sphere of influence who valued every opportunity life had to offer. He was an avid ATV rider who loved gardening carpentry inventing and swimming in the pool with his four grandchildren. He was a man of ideas and great charisma who enjoyed life to the fullest every day and touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He was an amazing role-model with an infectious personality who at moments notice would playfully challenge "all-comers" to a game of scrabble. He was a "one of a kind" father and husband with a beautiful smile radiant personality and who always remembered what is important. Bub will be greatly missed and was loved more than anything in the world. He is survived by his loving wife Virginia; son Charles; daughters: Michelle and Shannon; grandchildren: Taylor Brady Vienna and Lily; two brothers and two sisters. In lieu of flowers Donations are to be made to the American Heart Association in Bub's name
