Obituary

Charles S. Haick passed away suddenly October 30, 2015 at the Halifax Health Hospice in Port Orange , FL.

Charlie was born in Niagara Falls, NY where he attended Niagara Falls High School. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Florida at Gainesville graduating from the School of Pharmacy in 1965. After graduation, Charlie moved to Daytona Beach where he worked for the Apothecary Shoppe, Webb's Pharmacy, Ward's Pharmacy and Bert Fish Medical Center.

In 1981, Charlie left for Saudia Arabia where he worked for the Whittaker Corporation as the Director of Pharmacy at the King Faisal Hospital in Tabuk and Khamis Mushayt until 1984. Charlie and his wife , Donna, traveled extensively throughout the United States prior to returning to Bert Fish Medical Center as Director of Pharmacy until he retired in August 2014. After retiring, Charlie worked part-time for Wal-Mart as a pharmacist.

Charlie was an avid photographer and loved to travel with his wife. He was a past President of the Pharmacy Association, a member of the Ormond Beach Masonic Lodge #326, and the Cedars Club of Niagara Falls, NY. He also served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Prairie from 1968 to 1970.

Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Sylvia (Shaheen) Haick and his daughter, Christa (Jerry) Farmer. He is survived by his wife, Donna Haick, his siblings Richard (Patricia) Haick, Sob (Joyce) Haick, Mona (David) Litten, Mitchell (Corana) Haick, Abraham (Karen) Haick. He is also survived by his granddaughter Summer Haick-Browning and grandson Christopher Pymer, as well as his brother-in-law Timmy Charles and sister-in-law Chris Friedrich and Goddaughter Pamela Haick as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing for family and friends will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Ave., followed by a 7 p.m. service officiated by Father Ray Bertrand, M.Div.
