In 1972, he moved to Daytona Beach, where he worked as a Planner at Russell and Axon for approximately eight years. He continued his public service at South Daytona City Hall for about a decade and later at Daytona Beach City Hall as a Plans Examiner, retiring after a distinguished career.

Chuck was a man of many passions. He loved raising his daughter, caring for pets, painting, paintball, riding his Harley, target shooting, hunting, fishing, fireworks, dancing, swimming, and gardening.
