Charles Eugene Smith, 84, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on March 13, 2019 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast, Florida.  He was born on April 12, 1934 in Bermuda to the late Edmond and Catherine (nee, Mills) Smith.  He retired in 1996 from MTA in the Bronx, New York and moved to the Palm Coast area in 1999.  He loved fishing, music, dominoes, jazz, sports and helping others.

He is survived by his seven children, Wayne Harvey, Linda Walker, Linda Ford, Laverne Grant, Dawud Samia (aka, Charles Smith, Jr.), Rhodney Moore, and Linda Howard;  sisters, Betty Cooper and Quilla Smith;  sixteen grandchildren, Ibrahim Samia, Nourein Samia, Wesal Samia, Selma Samia, Fatima Samia, Candrea Wolffe, Lindell Wolffe, Stephen Wolffe, Lamel Steede, Laurell Steede, Noet Barnett, Quavon Moore, Marquis Moore, Ebonie Burgess Cox, Duane Charles Harvey, Stephan Burgess (deceased) and Ryan Burgess (Deceased);  ten great-grandchildren, Canaisa Wolffe, Cayari Wolffe Lighthouse, Kolours Wolffe Madeiros, Shadae Steede, Jeremiah Steede, Jahdae Steede Hill, Paris Kaliya Moore, Ryann Burgess, Brendon Harvey and Cassidy Harvey;  cousins, Gene Wilkinson (and his daughters, Desire and Lois), Gary Wilkinson, Rickey Wilkinson, Earl Wilkinson (deceased), Gloria Woods, Judy Burgess, Elsie Pryer, and Shirley Wilkinson;  uncle, Arthur Mills;  Aunts, (deceased) Barbara, Dorothy, Margaret, and Nellie;  nieces, Sharon Cooper and Charmaine Smith;  Nephews, Kirk Cooper, Clyde Cooper and Wayne Smith;  and a host of great nieces and nephew.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Smith on October 14, 2011.  He will always be remembered as a very caring, kind, and loving husband.
