Charles E. Cunningham age 76 of Port Orange passed away February 3 2009. A funeral service in his honor will be held Friday February 6 2009; 11:00 AM at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home 1423 Bellevue Ave. Daytona Beach. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Visitation will precede service at 9:30 AM
"Chuck" was born in Warren. He served his country in the US Navy graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and dedicated his talents as a Pilot and a Captain for Eastern Airlines. In 1986 he brought his family to Daytona Beach area. After his retirement 1989 he traveled with a motor club and in his motor home. He was an avid fan of flying NASCAR Golf Tennis air shows and many other activities. He was a proud member to the Airline Pilot Association and the De Ancient & Secret Order of Quiet Birdman. He will best be remembered for his Commanding presence his grateful appreciation of his "girls" and the tender heart he tried so hard to hide. His wife Helen (1993); his son Charles E. Jr. (1958) and 2 sisters preceded him in death. He leaves behind to cherish his memory 3 beloved daughters; Susan (Kenneth) Pitzer Kimberly Meadows and Hamel Holland 2 brothers; Dennis (Kathy) and Robert (Rajean) Cunningham and 6 grandchildren; Bradley April Nicole Kayla Paul and Shelby.
