Obituary

Charles "Chuck" Lewis Strasser, president of Strasser Construction, passed away early January 1 at his home in Ormond Beach. He was born on April 2, 1956 to Charlie and Helen Strasser and lived his entire life in the Daytona Beach area.

After graduating from Seabreeze High School in 1974, Chuck joined his father and brother Scott, in the family construction business. Because of his charismatic energetic personality, the business quickly took off. Local construction projects include the Daytona Auto Mall, Destination Daytona, New Smyrna Marina, New Smyrna Chevrolet and Haynes Brothers Furniture stores.

Chuck was a man of tremendous faith with a huge servant heart. He was involved in ministry at both Salty Church and Tomoka Christian Church where he attended worship with his family. Mission work was very important to Chuck and he encouraged others to reach out and serve and give back to those in need. He had an unfailing love and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He saw in the spiritual what we could not in the physical. He received the ultimate healing to be with his Lord and Savior. He would want everyone to know that the Lord does heal today. Anyone who crossed his path knew what a special man he was.

Chuck was passionate and devoted to his family, as a husband to his wife of 23 years, Gina and as a father to his daughters Faith and Destiny. He also leaves behind his mother Helen, brother Scott, sisters, Connie and LeAnn, all of Ormond Beach.

The funeral service will be 3 p.m., Sunday, January 4, at Tomoka Christian Church, 1450 Hand Avenue, Ormond Beach, followed by a private grave site ceremony for immediate family. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to "Adoptions" in care of Tomoka Christian Church (address above). Arrangements are in the direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Condolences may be shared with the family through this online guestbook.
