Charles "Chubby" Salvato, 89, of Daytona Beach, passed away on December 22, 2015 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center. He was born on September 7, 1926 in New York City, NY to Nicolo and Guiseppina Salvato. Chubby was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps
.
He was owner and operator of "Camera Towers" and "Video Carriers" in New York City just to mention a few of his business ventures.

Chubby moved to this area in 1984 from Blauvelt, NY.

He had a passion for baseball, including a tryout for his favorite team the Brooklyn Dodgers. He also enjoyed skiing, golfing, traveling and loved the ocean.

Survivors include his three children, Martha (Bill) Rushforth of North Hampton, NH, Nicholas (Valerie) Salvato of Ormond Beach and Josephine (Gary) Scheer of Spotsylvania, VA; two brothers, John Salvato of Deer Park, NY and Guido Salvato of Long Island, NY; sister, Mary Aragona of Deerfield Beach, FL; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Tuesday December 29, 2015 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Funeral Service will be held at 11:30am on Wed. December 30, 2015 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond with burial to follow in Daytona Memorial Park.
