Charles Carroll 73 a long-time resident of Daytona Beach passed away October 24 2009. He was born in Castlewood Virginia on August 18 1936. He worked for 20 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Barb & Shumaker Paving and Construction in Virginia and 25 years with Martin Paving in Florida. After he retired Charles spent most of his time as a caretaker for his father-in-law mother-in-law and his loving wife Betty to whom he was married 52 years. In his spare time he enjoyed working around the house and watching NASCAR. His family will remember him most for his loving caring nature and for being a wonderful provider. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Betty; sons Dennis Carroll of South Daytona and Dale Carroll of New Smyrna; Daughter Debbie and Joe MacGilfrey and grandchildren Justin Ryan and Tyler all of South Daytona. Services will be private.
