Charles Albert Aufdenkamp, age 69, of Deleon Springs, Florida, passed away on January 11, 2026.

Charles was born in Owensville, Missouri. After graduating from high school, he proudly served in the United States Army Reserves. He later married Moniek Chambers, with whom he had two children.

Charles spent many years working as a heavy equipment operator in construction. He took pride in his work and was part of the crews that helped build the I-4 highway between DeLand and Daytona Beach.

He was sadly preceded in death by his son, Jerry Aufdenkamp, in 2018.

Charles is survived by his son, Mario Aufdenkamp, and his wife Brenda, of DeLand, Florida; and his beloved granddaughter, Andrea.

The family will hold a ceremony at DeLand Memorial Gardens at a later date to honor Charles's life.
