Catherine W. Hendricks, 76, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away on February 16, 2016. She was born on March 5, 1939 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Leon N. Williamson and Delores Dahmer Williamson. Catherine, with her parents, relocated to the Ormond Beach area in the late 1960's and primarily resided in this area until her passing.

Catherine married Leslie E. Hendricks in Gainesville, Florida and they lived there for 5 years, and then they lived as a military family for 13 years. It is said "The hardest job in the Army is being a military wife", but Catherine did that job and later was awarded "The Molly Pitcher Award" for service to military families.

After military service, Catherine and Leslie returned to the Ormond Beach area where Catherine became a Victim's Advocate, first with the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, and then with the State's Attorney's Office. After retiring, Catherine became a Special Events officer with the Daytona Beach Police Department until she passed.

In addition to her career, Catherine enjoyed cooking, animals including her pets, and she enjoyed working with people. Her greatest joy was being an advocate, and also caring for and loving her four-legged children. She was predeceased by her father in 1975 and her mother in 2003. Catherine is survived by her husband of 41 years, Leslie, as well as a brother, and also her pets.

A visitation was held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, and Catherine was laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Florida, on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.
