Funeral Services for Catherine Martin Newcomer 89 who passed away at Bishops Glenn Nursing Center on February 27 2011 will be held in Chambersburg PA by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home 333 Falling Spring Road (717)977.3941.
Catherine Newcomer was born on August 4 1921 in Chambersburg PA to the late Harry Ralph and Lottie Martin. She was raised in Chambersburg PA and then moved to this area in 2004 from Chambersburg. Prior to that she was a winter resident here and in Fort Meyers FL. She was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ The Womens Group through her church the Chambersburg Quilt Guild a volunteer in the gift shop at Chambersburg Hospital NARFE the VFW Womens auxillary and the Elks Lodge (all in Chambersburg).
She loved quilting.

Survivors include her eight children David L. (Dorothy) Jones of Fayetteville PA Ronald L. Jones of Dagsboro Delaware Dennis M. (Cindy) Jones of Tallahassee FL Carolyn (Leo) Heavner of Frederick MD Bennett (Natalie) Newcomer of Waynesboro PA Thomas Newcomer of Chambersburg PA Ronald (Becky) Newcomer of Fayetteville PA and Donna Ford of Waynesboro PA; and Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry B. Newcomer.
