Catherine R. Lewis 89 passed away on October 22. She was born in McRae Georgia on February 15 1921 to Walter Thomas and Madge Idell Clements. She grew up in Orlando and worked for many years at Rutland's in the Colonial Plaza Mall. She is predeceased by her husband Nathaniel ""Nate"" Lewis and three brothers and one sister: Edwin Clements Bill Clements Gerald Clements and Betty Kirkland. After her retirement she moved from Winter Park to Port Orange to be closer to her son Lester Lewis and his wife Tami of Ponce Inlet. She leaves behind another son James ""Jimmy"" Alford and his wife Marcia of Altamonte Springs; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces nephews and cousins. At her 59th class reunion for Workmore High School in Jacksonville Georgia she was declared to be the prettiest girl in all of Tellfair County Georgia. Her friends and family all knew her to have a green thumb and as a gourmet southern cook. Arrangements are being handled by Baggett-Summers Funeral Home on Beach Street in Daytona Beach. Family members will greet visitors at 10:00 a.m. with services at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday October 26 2010 at Baggett-Summers Funeral Home.
