Christine Laycock age 76 of New Smyrna Beach formerly of Port Orange passed away after a long illness on Saturday March 21 2009. Christine traveled in many circles and to various places to discover all this world has to offer. She dedicated many years as a devoted wife and time keeper for the US Rail Road industry. She was very active in her community and was a proud member of the Port Orange Elk Harts American Vets VFW and United Church of Christ as well as the New Smyrna Beach American Legion and Elks. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards reading cooking especially baking but most of all traveling around the world. She is survived by her husband of 6 years; Irving Laycock 2 brothers (insert names) 2 sisters (insert names) and many many nieces and nephews especially Sibyl (insert name). She was preceded in death by her 1st husband George Welcher a 7 year old son and 10 siblings. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona Beach.
