Obituary

Carrie Ann Walker-Hollman, 44, of Port Orange, went to be with the Lord surrounded by
her loving family on Tuesday January 3, 2023 at Halifax Health Hospice Care Center in Port Orange. She was born on August 13, 1978 in Daytona Beach, Florida to Dan and Vernice Walker. Carrie graduated from Spruce Creek High School in 1996. She graduated from Florida State University with a BS in Music and a Masters in Special Education and was a member of The Marching Chiefs and Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority.  Carrie also received a Specialist in Reading Education degree from The University of Florida. She was employed as a Special Education Teacher and Behavioral Specialist in Leon County, Flagler County and Volusia County.  Currently Carrie was employed with Behavior Change Artists, Inc. as a Behavior Specialist serving Volusia County Schools.

Survivors include her husband, Timothy Hollman of Port Orange, FL; Her parents, Dan and Vernice Walker of Port Orange, FL; two step-sons, Wyatt and Cole Hollman; Uncle, Dean Bowen (wife, Judy) of Kings Mountain, NC; and three cousins, Dena Bowen Allen (husband, Timmy) of Kings Mountain, NC, Greg Bowen (wife, Christi) of Dallas, NC and Chad Bowen (wife, Robin) of Phoenix, AZ.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Carrie Ann at 6:00pm Tuesday Evening January 10, 2023 at First United Methodist Church, 305 Dunlawton, Avenue, Port Orange, FL, with Pastor Tom Nelson officiating.

Carrie will be buried beside her Maternal Grandmother in Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain, NC.

Memorial Donations may be made in her memory to The First United Methodist Church of Port Orange https://firstchurchpo.org where Carrie was a member, Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129 or to a Charity of one's choice.
