Carolyn Adele Peoples (Fabian), 78, of Ormond-By-The-Sea, FL passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016.
Carolyn was born in Trenton, NJ to the late Mary Chianese Fabian and late Anthony Fabian. She was raised by her mother and loving aunts Rose and Ola.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, of nearly 57 years, Thomas H. Peoples; her daughter Leslie Peoples of Bloomfield, NJ; her daughter Jennifer Stegers and her husband Maris Stegers of Newtown, PA; and her daughter Valerie Peoples and her husband Jeff Neilson of Redwood City, CA. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren Zachary, Nicholas & Michael Stegers, and Alexa and Max Neilson.
Carolyn lived most of her life in Mercerville, NJ before moving to Ormond-By-The-Sea in 2001. She graduated from Cathedral High School; earned a Bachelor's Degree from Trenton State College and a Master's Degree from Rider University.
She was a well-loved and respected teacher at Allentown (NJ) High School as well as Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, NJ, where she was the Business Department Chair. She and her husband were Eucharistic Ministers at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Mercerville and later at St. Brendan's Church in Ormond Beach. As a volunteer at Florida Hospital Oceanside, she greeted everyone with a friendly smile and positive attitude. She was devoted to her family, dearly loved traveling with life-long friends and looked forward to her weekly bridge games.
Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Lohman Funeral Home, 733 W. Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at St. Brendan's Roman Catholic Church, 1000 Ocean Shore Boulevard, Ormond Beach, FL 32176. A luncheon will follow. Interment will be private.
A Mass will also be celebrated later this summer at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Mercerville, NJ on a date to be determined.
