Carolyn Earl Nelson Hewitt, 75 of Deland, Florida passed away with her family and friends by her side on November 25, 2023. She was born in Los Angeles and raised in Leona Valley, California.

Carolyn is survived by her two children, Erik Nelson and Heather Dupuis; her sister, Janet Gerard; her grandchildren, Taylor Nelson, Katie Cowart, Haylee Nelson and Baylee Nelson; her great grandchildren, Brielle Nelson and Maddox Nelson.

Carolyn was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed watching and going to the races, watching football on tv, reading & playing games on her phone and spending time with her family and friends. She loved going to stay at the beach for her vacations with the family.
