Carolyn M. Greene ""Mitch"" formerly of Palm Coast Florida passed away on January 13 2013 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast Florida. All services are to be private. All arrangements are under the care of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW Palm Coast Florida. Carolyn was born and raised in Greensboro North Carolina and Anderson South Carolina; she graduated from North Carolina A&T with a bachelor's degree. Carolyn then moved to Orange New Jersey where she continued her education at Kean College Union NJ receiving her teacher's certificate. Carolyn was employed by the Newark Board of Education and worked for 30 years as a kindergarten teacher at Roseville Avenue School in Newark NJ. After retiring she moved to Palm Coast Florida. Carolyn will be remembered for her love of adventure and travel. Late in life she enjoyed sailing the seas. While at home Carolyn spent her time reading doing crosswords cooking and watching her favorite show ""Jeopardy"". Carolyn was preceded by her parents Bernard and Mamie. She is survived by her sons Joseph G. Greene III and his wife Teresa of NY Kelly M. Greene and his wife Susan of FL daughter Tracey M. Greene of FL and sister Ann Johnson of SC. Carolyn was also the loving grandmother to Gloria Kelly and Caleigh. She also leaves behind many nieces nephews family and friends.
