Carolyn Capels
Carolyn Capels 66 of Port Orange formerly of Syracuse New York passed away peacefully at home on August 28th 2009. Carolyn was born on November 13th 1942 in Syracuse New York to Edward and Alice Capels. She touched the lives of all those around her especially her family. She was a giving selfless person who was always there to help. Her children thank her for being such a wonderful mother grandmother and friend. Carolyn's legacy will live on thru her family she will be deeply missed and always in their hearts. Survivors include her children daughter Kelly Johanessen (Harold) of Port Orange; son Michael Gunnip (Catherine) of Edgewater; grandson Michael Gunnip Jr of Edgewater; and sister Patricia Putman of Port Orange. A memorial service to honor Carolyn will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Carolyn's memory to United Cerebral Palsy of East Central Florida 1100 Jimmy Ann Drive Daytona Beach FL 32117.
