Carolina Hastreiter age 88 of Deland passed away after a long illness on Tuesday February 22 2011 in the company of her family. A Funeral Mass in her honor will be held Friday February 25 2011; 1:00 PM at St. Peter Catholic Church 359 W. New York Ave. Deland followed by and interment at Oakdale Cemetery. A visitation and rosary will be held on Thursday 2/24/11; from 5 - 7:00 PM at the Deland Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home.

Carolina was born in Romania to Johon and Anna Hastreiter she dedicated her life in the service of others taking care of her mother and as a domestic for many years for Judge Sanders. She was member of St. Peter Catholic Church; devoting many years to her involvement and a gentle hardworking resilient woman who will best be remembered for her love of family church and song and riding her tricycle with the red flag down New York Ave.

Her father and beloved mother preceded her in death and she leaves behind her brother Peter Hastreiter Sr Deland FL; a nephew Peter Hastreiter Jr. Deland FL; a niece Annamarie Hastreiter Dade City and her St. Peter Church family.
