Carole M. Preg, a resident of South Daytona, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Stuart F Meyer Hospice House. She was 74.

Born in Philadelphia, Carole was the daughter of Joseph and Madeline Grief. Throughout her life she worked as a Registered Nurse and dedicated her life to helping others with great compassion and love. Carole loved animals and helped many rescue animals over the years. She leaves behind her beloved cats Molly and Sam.

Carole is survived by her mother Madeline Grief of Edgewater; sister Lynn Kittleman; daughter Lori Justofin of Telford, Pa and son Robert Preg husband of Roxanne Preg of Effort, Pa. She also had three grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley, and Cody Preg; and a great grandson Jordan Preg.

Carole's funeral service will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Lohman Funeral Home, 1201 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, FL 32127, with a 4 p.m. visitation for friends and family. Carole will be buried at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Ottsville, Pa., at 3 p.m. Friday, June 20.
