Carole A. Fuit

February 19, 1941 ~ November 6, 2021

Carole A. Fuit, 80, of Port Orange, passed away November 6, 2021 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A bingo enthusiast, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends dinning out or at the bingo hall. Before her retirement, she proudly worked as a news carrier for the Daytona Beach News Journal as well as a custodian at Spruce Creek High School, serving both for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Fuit, her parents Sylvia and Harold Baggerson, her sister, Elaine Baggerson, and her brother, Harold Baggerson. Carole will be long remembered as a loving mother and grandmother with a witty sense of humor and a strong dedication to her work and family. She is survived by her three children, John (Pamela), Debra (Joseph) Delia, and Dale (Jeni), her sister-in-law, Lauren Baggerson, her 11 grandchildren: Andrea (Dan) Famiglietti, Johnny (Kristina), Erin (Myles) Lewis, Eric (Jennifer), Joseph (Cassie) Delia, David (Taryn), Catie Delia, Kayla (Tyler) Laymon, Christopher, Jonathan, and Sandy, as well as her 14 great-grandchildren and two nephews.

A celebration of life will be held November 23, 2021 at 4:00PM with a prayer to follow at 5:00PM at Lohman's Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Avenue, Port Orange, FL 32127.
