Carole J. (nee Courtney) Dean (79), and longtime resident of Severna Park, died peacefully at her home in Ormond Beach, FL, where she recently moved with her daughter and family. A retired bookkeeper with Krupnik Bros. in Severn, MD, she had been battling cancer since late January. Carole was the daughter of James and Norma (Smallwood) Courtney of Baltimore, wife of the late Bruce Dean, and sister of James and Lewis Courtney, both deceased. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy, son-in-law Jerry, and grandsons, Jason and Tyler and stepmother-in-law, Harriet Dean. She was a member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Severna Park where she enjoyed being a long-time member of the choir there. She will be cremated with arrangements made with Lohman Funeral Home in Ormond Beach, FL and a Memorial Service will be held at Our Shepherd on Saturday, November 4, 2017.
