Carol Ann Holtz 72 of Daytona Beach passed away on November 11 2011. Carol was born in Merrick NY to Bernard and Helen Koenke. Carol graduated from Mainland High School. She and her husband William moved to South Florida where they started their family. William retired in 1987 and they settled in Port Orange. Carol's passion was horses. She owned and operated 2 barns and stables. Carol showed horses in competitions. She was a lover of all animals and supported numerous animal related societies. Carol loved gardening and flowers. She was also an avid collector of countless treasures. Carol had an eclectic interest in figurines and collectibles. She is predeceased by her husband William Holtz and her brother Bobby. Carol is survived by her loving sons Scott Holtz (Bobby Cheshire) of Rochester Vermont and Sean Holtz (Rosa) of Miami Florida; her four brothers Warren Koenke Bernie Koenke Henry Koenke and Bruce Koenke all of Florida. She will also be missed by her granddaughter Erika of Miami Florida.
A gathering in Carol's honor will be held on Tuesday November 15 2011 from 10:30 am-12:30 pm at Baggett and Summers Funeral Home 736 South Beach St Daytona Beach FL 32114. The family welcomes friends to pay their respects.
