Carol Ann Gonzales, 75, of Deltona, Florida peacefully passed away on April 21, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Carol was born on October 13, 1947, in the Germantown Section of Philadelphia. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret (nee McDevitt) Waterstradt.

Carol was the beloved wife of Ruben (Tony) Gonzales for sixty one years. They had four sons together, Ruben, Michael, David, and Joe, who were the light of her life. She also adored her daughter-in-laws Diana, Lisa, and Jeanine. She was a loving grandmother to Michael, Ashley, Taylor, Marisa, Geneva, Joey and Ruben and great-grandmother to Cameron and Niko. Also surviving her are her sisters Margaret Mary, Sharon, sister-in-law Dee, many nieces and nephews, long-time friend, Nancy Clark and Jeanne. Carol was preceded in death by her brother Kenny, grandson Anthony and nephew Kenny Jr.

Carol will also be missed by Cisco, her cherished Chihuahua who was always by her side.

Carol worked in the food service industry for many years. She especially enjoyed working with the children at the schools where she was employed. Carol loved to cook and spend time riding with her husband and the L.A.M.A. family in Deltona. Her primary passion, however, was her family. Carol was very nurturing, hospitable and had a heart of gold.

Services will be held at the Lohman Funeral Home, 1681 Providence Blvd., Deltona, Florida on May 13, 2023 . A celebration of life honoring Carol will be held at a later date in Philadelphia.
