Carol Ashcraft, 53, passed away with her dear husband AJ and her two children by her side on October 14, 2013. A Visitation in her honor will be held Friday, October 18, 2013 from 10am-12:00pm at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange. Funeral Service will begin at 12:30pm in the Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange Chapel, with burial following at Daytona Memorial Park.

Carol was born and raised in East Liverpool, Ohio. She achieved National Honor Society in High School. She met AJ Ashcraft, her husband of 31 years, on a blind date. They started their family with Kimberly and Andrew. They decided to move to Port Orange in 1994 after visiting family here. Carol worked in retail sales for Chevron in Daytona Beach, 7-11 in Holly Hill and Ormond for 8+ years, and Walgreens in Port Orange for 7+ years. For fun, Carol loved playing bingo and bowling. She also enjoyed keeping up with Facebook and playing computer games. Her passion though was her family and spending time with them.

Carol will be sadly missed by her husband AJ; her children Andrew and Kimberly; her mother Juanita Gatrell;, her sisters Debbie Fugate (Pat), Nancy Gatrell, and Beth White (Chris); her brother Mike Gatrell (Donna); her mother-in-law Lillian Hughes; sister-in-law Jennifer Ashcraft; brother-in-law Jim Ashcraft (Dot); and her many nieces and nephews.
