Carmen James Catalfamo, 83, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice in Palm Coast, FL on Monday, March 13, 2017. A Mass of Resurrection along with a celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date convenient to the family's wishes. Carmen was born September 11, 1933 in Rochester, New York.

He was a civil engineer and retired as the Monroe County Director of Transportation, Rochester New York. Carmen is also a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, achieving the rank of specialist 5th class.

Upon retirement he relocated to Volusia County Florida in 1999 where he enjoyed golfing, raising orchids and pursuing his passion for photography.

Carmen was preceded in death by his father Anthony Catalfamo and his Mother Mary (Lanovara) Catalfamo. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Janice (Barone) Catalfamo of Ormond Beach, his daughter Jomaine Ledbetter and fianc Robert Krause of Ormond Beach, son(s) Kenneth and wife Teresa, Anthony and wife Barbara, Kevin and wife Key (Marilyn), his brother James and wife Francis of Rochester New York, his brother-in-law, David (Clare) Barone of Bradenton, FL He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Nicole, Michael, Michelle, Stephanie, Anthony, Jessica, Meagan, Peyton, Chandler, Olivia and great grandson, Porter.
