Carmela M. "Mildred" Talerico age 92 of New Smyrna Beach passed away unexpectedly on Thursday April 21 2011. A 10:30 AM gathering followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service will be held Monday April 25 at the Deland Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Deland Memorial Gardens.
Mildred was born Carmela Cacciola in Wildwood New Jersey to Joseph and Concetta Cacciola. She lived most of her life in Pennsylvania dedicating her talents to; bookkeeping banking her famous baked cookie trays and making everyone feel warm and welcome and loved as everyone's "Nana". Mildred was preceded in death by her parents her siblings and her husband Martin Talerico . She leaves behind to cherish her memory 2 children: Janice Martin her husband Albert and Martin Talerico 2 granddaughters; Mr. & Mrs. Andrew and Jana Porreco and daughter Alyssa; and Mr. & Mrs. Brad and Aimee Bowen and daughter Jayden 2 grandsons by marriage; Mr. and Mrs. David and Heidi Martin and his 6 children and Steven Martin and many loving extended family and friends.
