Carlos A Herold (80) of Port Orange FL passed away peacefully On Thursday August 1st after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

Carlos came to America from Germany as a young man in 1960 where he continued his career as a Baker. He worked for Ranch House restaurant for many years in Orlando FL before relocating to south Florida. In 1996 he and Linda moved to Port Orange to be closer to family and begin their retirement years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Linda Herold his eldest daughter Carol Herold his youngest daughter Michelle Ascheman and her husband Samuel his sister Mrs. Gerlinde King of South Daytona his 4 grandchildren Tommy Jonny Chris and Brittany and extended family both in Germany in America.

He was an avid lover of animals. he spent many of his days with his faithful dog Peaches at the beach on Ponce Inlet. He also enjoyed taking her for long walks throughout his community. his neighbors friends and family will remember him as a gentle kind and helpful man who was quick to lend a hand.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him but we are comforted knowing he is at peace.
