Carlos Juan Garcia Vazquez age 77 went to his heavenly rewards on Friday March 11 2011. A funeral service in his honor will be held Tuesday March 15 2011 at the Deland Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Homes followed by an interment at Oakdale Cemetery.
Carlos was born one of 10 children in Ponce Puerto Rico to Juan Garcia and Juana Vazquez Garcia. He dedicated his life to the service of others. He was a hardworking man who used his wisdom and gave unselfishly to his eight children and the Pentecostal Church which he pastured for many years in Puerto Rico. He was a simple humble loving man who through his faith was able to help families and build an army of faithful soldiers who served God. Upon his return to the states he continued to focus his energies on serving others and became an active member at La Nueva Jerusalem Church in Orange City. His children Jenny William and David Garcia preceded him in death. He leaves behind his devoted and loving wife of 50 years Carmen Lydia Pagon Garcia. He also leaves behind his children: Elvin (Alice) Garcia Charles Garcia Danny (Ana) Garcia Nilda Garcia and Gilda (Narciso) Garcia 22 grandchildren 17 1/2 great grandchildren his many siblings and extended loving family.
