Carl E. Wetherholt, 80, passed away October 19, 2013 with his family by his side. A Visitation will be held in his honor Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 12pm-1pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Funeral Service will be Graveside at Daytona Memorial Park at 2pm with military honors.

Carl was born in Huntington, West Virginia to Leroy and Hattie Wetherholt. Carl proudly served his country in the US Air Force for 20 years and 6 months, retiring with the rank of Tech Sergeant. He served basic training in Samson, NY and then went to Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas. It was at this base that he married Loretta Roach, his wife of 61 years. They then moved from base to base in his military career: Reno, NV; Smyrna, TN; Edwards Air Force Base, CA; Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii; Biloxi, MS; Finland, MN; Rockville, IN; Thailand; and finally Patterson, OH. Carl served as a radar technician. After retirement, Carl worked as a civilian for Lear- Siegler Inc for 16 years.

Carl and Loretta moved to Ormond in 2003. Carl enjoyed fixing things around the house. He was a true Mr. Fix-it. There was nothing he could not fix. He loved building and restoring houses to resell them. Carl was a proud member of the NRA and the American Legion.

Carl will be sadly missed by his wife Loretta, by his sons Michael Wetherholt (Sue) and Carl Daniel Wetherholt, by his daughter Debbie Robinson (Wade), by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, and by many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
