Carl W. VanWasshnova 54 of Port Orange beloved husband of Sarah VanWasshnova unexpectedly passed away on Friday November 13th 2009 in a traffic accident. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday evening at 7 pm at the First Baptist Church of South Daytona 2197 Kenilworth Avenue South Daytona. The family will be receiving friends at the church 1 hour prior to the service. Carl was born December 17th 1954 in Monroe Michigan to Elton and Anita VanWasshnova. He grew up on a farm where he acquired many skills and interests including a lifelong love of John Deere tractors. He was an accomplished truck driver of over thirty years experience the last sixteen with Averritt Express of Orlando. Carl was an avid fan of NASCAR Florida and Michigan football; boating fishing and was known for keeping the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. He loved classic rock and country music cooking his signature ribs at barbeques and was widely known for his generosity and eagerness to help others with anything he could to be the best of his ability. He is survived by his wife Sarah; four children Jeff Jill Jesse and Alanna; mother Anita five brothers Mike (Roberta) Don (Mary) Dennis (Mary) Bill (Chris) John (Cheryl) three sisters Kathleen (Jim) Mary (Dave) Carol (Mike) brothers and sisters-n-law Jack (Karen) Bill Barbara (Kirk) 29 nephews and nieces and an untold number of close friends. He was greatly loved by all who knew him and will be missed everyday.
