Carl "O'Neil" Roberts, born on January 6, 1945, in Oxnard, California, passed away on November 29, 2024. Raised by his grandmother in Paris, Arkansas, Carl went by "O'Neal" during his childhood and graduated from Magazine High School.

Throughout his life, Carl worked in various jobs, most often involving parts and tractors, with a special affinity for John Deere. In January 1968, he met the love of his life, Estella Roberts, while working at the Whirlpool Manufacturing plant in Fort Smith, Arkansas. After a brief courtship, they married on June 15, 1968, at Cedarville Baptist Church in Cedarville, Arkansas.
At the age of 26, Carl was adopted by his stepfather, Judge Billy Roberts, and changed his last name from Sorter to Roberts.
Carl's career took him and his family across multiple states, from Arkansas to Tennessee to Florida, eventually leading him to be with his son Will and his family.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of over 56 years, Estella; his son, William Roberts, and his wife, Jennifer; his cherished grandchildren, Carlina and Eldon Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.
